Govortsova stuns Peer in Stanford, Mirza advances

STANFORD, California, July 26 (Reuters) - Belarusian
qualifier Olga Govortsova belied her lowly ranking with a 4-6
7-5 6-2 victory over fifth seeded Israeli Shahar Peer to move
into the quarter-finals of the Stanford Classic on Thursday.
